So many things compete for our attention these days that sometimes it’s hard to prioritize things that are good for us. While it may seem overwhelming or unimportant to get prepared, we know from experience that taking steps to prepare ahead of time can help you respond better and stay safer in an emergency.
This September, the American Red Cross joins the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and a coalition of more than 1,500 organizations in helping you get prepared during National Preparedness Month. Learn the three recommended preparedness actions to "Be Red Cross Ready" for emergencies, take the Pledge to Prepare, and get involved today!

Every 8 Minutes a Disaster Strikes.... It Only Takes 30 Minutes To Be "Red Cross Ready"
The "Red Cross Ready Program" will help you:

Learn what can happen in your community

Create a disaster plan and kit

Discuss mitigation, responce and recovery

Learn about evacuations and shelters

Answer questions you may have
All programs are FREE of charge. Along with our " Red Cross Ready" program, we can also provide presentations tailored to specific disaster and emergency interestes/ needs.
Some examples of the groups we provide programs for are: schools, community groups, buisnesses, and non-profits.
